Chemical composition

Super Austenitic F44 / UNS S31254 is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with elevated molybdenum, nickel, nitrogen and copper content. This chemistry is used to improve resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and general corrosion in chloride-containing media. 254 SMO is widely described as a 6Mo super austenitic stainless steel with strong resistance in seawater and aggressive chloride-bearing environments.

Below chemical composition limits are provided for quick reference. Final compliance is confirmed by the Mill Test Certificate and the applicable order specification.
