Also known as Duplex 2205, UNS S31803, UNS S32205 or 1.4462, this duplex stainless steel grade combines high mechanical strength with strong resistance to chloride-induced corrosion. We supply Duplex F51 bar upon request in rolled or forged form. The range covers small diameters through to 600 mm. Forged bar is generally the preferred route for larger sections, while rolled bar may be suitable for smaller and medium diameters depending on specification and mill availability.

Chemical composition

The chemical composition of Duplex F51 / UNS S31803-S32205 is designed to combine high mechanical strength with strong resistance to chloride-induced corrosion. The alloy contains chromium, nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen to support the duplex austenitic-ferritic microstructure.
